A kindergarten through 8th grade school on the edge of what was an Irish ghetto. Built in the late 1920s it has seen Detroit rise and fall. With the white flight of the past 6 decades, it suffered declining enrollment and became proportionally more cosmopolitan. It was shuttered in 2008. In 2011, it gained a grisly prominence when the corpses of Eric McNeil and Jennifer Conner were found inside. Ryan Martin is believed to be the killer.
In the late 90s, the principal was Susan Guerrero, a veteran teacher and administrator. She had a reputation as being tough as nails. Her vice principal was Mr. Walker, a tall pale man who administers detention for malcontents.
